So everywhere I've read that "quickening" happens sometime during the 18th week and that's when you feel the baby move for the first time so I wasn't really expecting anything. But I woke up one morning, 2 days after Thanksgiving in my 16th week and as I was laying in bed I felt something so distinct and I just knew that was Bubs. For a few seconds I felt like there was popcorn popping in my abdomen. It was nothing like I had ever felt before. There was no confusing it with "gas bubbles" or anything like that... After that, I had to wait a couple of days to feel Bubs again. But for the past 3 days, Bubs has been pretty regular in the afternoons with some gentle jabs and flutters. It's an amazing feeling and I think up until now I had still been working to wrap my head around the fact that I'm pregnant but now everything feels perfect and worth it. The first trimester is just a distant memory. Was I really that sick? I don't know :-) I'm in love.
Tomorrow marks the completion of 17 weeks! I've got most of my energy back and recovered the weight lost in the first trimester for sure. I'll do another stats post after my doc appointment on Monday!

AWESOME!!!
